2024-25 Middle School West Football Information
Practices: Practices are held at West football fields Monday through Thursday from after school until 5:00. Please pick up your student at West by 5:15 each night. Practices prior to the start of the school year will start at 3:30pm. Once the school year starts practices will be right after school.
Alternate Schedule Practices:
We have a couple practices days that will follow an alternate schedule to our standard middle school practice schedule.
Monday, August 26th: First practice/equipment handout:
We are extending the time of our first practice so that there is time to get a practice in after equipment hand outt
8th Grade- 3:30 PM Equipment (4:30-6 PM Practice)
7th Grade- 4:15 PM (arrive at 3:30 PM for a team meeting, practice from 5-6 PM)
Wednesday, August 28th: Joint practice with the high school coaching staff. This practice will still be at the normal time at 3:30pm -5pm and will still be at Middle School West.
Wednesday Sept. 4th: Joint practice with the high school coaching staff. 6pm-8pm at the STMA High School Stadium. No practice after school, students will need their own transportation.

What do Athletes need?
Athletes will need their own mouth guard and cleats. Helmet, pads, pants and uniforms are provided.
Registration
The activity fee is $187.50.
STMA has an online registration system, EduTrak also known as Affinety. If you do not have any account you will need to create a new account and add a funding source before registering. Follow the instructions on the links below. Please follow both sets of instructions to help avoid confusion. Please note, when you register for activities one of the questions asks about online school. In this case, online refers to being enrolled in a fully online school and does not represent distance learning.

Behavior – as an athlete for Middle School West, our athletes are ambassadors of our school. As an ambassador of our school, we expect our athletes’ behavior to be exceptional. We want our athletes to be positive role models for others to see and follow.
Important Policies to remember:
Clothes: make sure to have warm clothes in your locker at all times. There will be some very cold days in the fall, dress smart.
- Students need to be passing all of their classes to be on the team. Mr. Antony will check to see if athletes are passing all of their classes at mid-tri.
- Students need to be in class five full periods of the day in order to practice or compete that night. Students with a doctor’s appointment may be excused from this requirement if they have documentation from the doctor referencing the appointment. Make sure to bring this note from the doctor to our attendance person
- Your coaches will expect the students to be at practice every day. Practices are after school Monday through Thursday until 5:00. Missed practices may result in reduced playing time.
- We will bus you to all road competitions and back to West. You may ride home with your parents after road competitions rather than on the bus if you wish. You need to have your parent sign out with your coach if you ride home with a parent. If you are planning to ride home with someone else’s parents, your parents need to notify Mr. Antony of this one day in advance.
